Comac adopts cascade lines base on co-rotating twin-screw extrusion technology, with interposed filtration, ideal for recycling and compounding of difficult materials such as PET and polyolefins.
Co-rotating twin-screws are becoming increasingly popular also in recycling, especially in two large application areas.
The first is represented by the recycling of flakes obtained from post-consumer PET bottles which, thanks to the high degassing capacity guaranteed by the co-rotating twin-screw extruder, can be processed without drying and crystallize, obtaining a material suitable for different applications, such as the production of fiber or of sheets for thermoforming and regranulation/compounding.
Another use of these machines is the recycling of materials from industrial polyolefin-based molded waste.
